FAQs

FAQ: Welcome

None of the workshop times listed work for me. Can I still join a cohort?

Reach out to info@ktable.org with your availability. We may be able to accommodate an additional workshop. The Solo Workshop series is also an option.

Do I have to complete a Kitchen Table workshop before I can become a member?

Yes. All Kitchen Table members need to have completed one 8-week, cohort-model workshop to receive ongoing membership access. The Solo Session does not count toward membership access.

What's the deal with the no drinking during the workshop? Is this required?

Short answer: No, you're not required to give up drinking to participate in KT.

Long(er) answer: Before beginning a workshop, members make their commits for the next 8 weeks. The goal is to increase the circumstances that have a positive influence on your wellbeing, and decrease the factors that have a negative influence. Not drinking is very common "commit," but others commit to an 8-week break from social media, a consistent meditation practice, a daily walk, not texting an ex -- you name it.

I'm not a member, and I don't feel ready to participate in a group workshop. What can I do in the meantime?

Check out our KT Toolkit for other offerings, including a mini-meditation guide, gratitude journal, connection questions, and other fun resources!

Our Solo Series is also a place to start; it includes 8 weeks of reflection questions and writing prompts, without the cohort-style membership.

I loved my cohort experience. Can I take another workshop?

Yes! Members are welcome to take as many workshops as they would like.

Does Kitchen Table have a brick-and-mortar location?

Coming soon! The first Kitchen Table will be in Nashville, TN. Members in the Nashville area will have the option to attend weekly sessions in-person with their cohort.

What is the Kitchen Table book?

The Kitchen Table book will be a compilation of writing samples and reflections over the past year.

Following each workshop, KT members may submit their writing or nominate a cohort member's writing for submission. Entries will be considered for publication in the upcoming Kitchen Table book. Authors may remain anonymous or receive attribution for their writing.
